My name is Runar and I make norske-terningspill.no. I am also behind norske-kortspill.no and nordiccardgames.com, two sites with card game rules in Norwegian and English. Dice games were a natural next step. The equipment is simple, the rules are easy to learn, and most people have a few dice in a drawer somewhere.
I live in Trondheim, Norway, with my family. With several kids in the house there are regular game nights, and dice games are among the easiest to get going. Five dice, a score sheet and a pencil is all it takes for a round of Yatzy at the kitchen table.
I made this site because I missed a simple place with good rules for dice games. Many of the games exist in countless variants, so the rules here describe the games as they are usually played in Norway, with well-known variants mentioned along the way.
All the rules are also available in Norwegian, and if you like card games you will find them at nordiccardgames.com.
